For the Love of Automobiles

Family Story #17

One thing I’ve noticed when going through old family photos, my family loved taking pictures with their automobiles. On the other hand, my present day family rarely thinks about taking a picture with their cars; maybe it’s because today’s cars don’t seem to hold the same sex appeal as they did in the past. I must admit, however, that it was fun to see the pictures and the different car models, so I think my family may need to reconsider this and start taking some car photos of our own!

Hope you enjoy today’s photo album; I even had a little fun coloring them. I have no clue what models they are, so feel free to let me know. You have met most the people you see in these photos during the October Ancestry Challenge 2013; it is clear my mother enjoyed getting her picture taken with cars! :)

Love the old cars! I have seen a few photos of my ancestors with their cars as well, but never thought much of it. I don’t think I’ve ever thought to take a photo by my own car! But maybe I will for the sake of future generations.

I use to think taking a photo with a car was a bit silly or even vain, but I don’t think that way any longer. Seeing my relatives with their cars was a real treat. It’s a GREAT way to capture the decade with fashion and car models. :)
      Have a great day, Melanie!
